Captains' Resources

The Captain of a retreat is the primary means through which retreats are promoted. At the recent Captains' Day of Prayer, the Captains asked for a webpage to share the tools they have developed to promote their retreats. We invite you to help build a robust toolkit that will strengthen the Captain's Program.

JRC and Captains Work Together

We value our Captains' efforts in bringing new and returning people to the retreats. To support your efforts, this is what JRC is currently doing:

1. We advertise in the following diocesan newspapers: San Jose, Sacramento, Monterey, Oakland, and the Archdiocese of San Francisco. We are actively seeking advertisements with the other diocesen newspapers in California.
2. We create brochures for each sponsored retreat.
3. Brochures are available to you upon request.
4. We are also happy to provide retreat posters.
5. Bi-monthly memos are sent to the Parish Secretary/Bulletin Editors providing upcoming retreat information. If your parish is not currently receiving these, please email Evangelina Preciado, Director of Marketing.
