"Retreats are often the one place where we can find the silence to recollect and recognize how God has been at work in thousands of ways, big and small, in our everyday lives — and how we are growing into a deeper relationship with a God who loves us dearly."
Mr. Paul Lickteig, S.J.,
Retreat Director

Mr. Paul Lickteig, S.J., is a Jesuit Scholastic currently attending the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California, in preparation for ordination to the priesthood. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Creighton University, where he double-majored in Theater and Theology, and an MA in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Care from Fordham University.

Paul has been doing Spiritual Direction for seven years and has recently been working with the men incarcerated at San Quentin focusing on Restorative Justice. One of his greatest joys is the realization that God truly can be found in all things. He is a strong proponent of the belief that spiritual life is an inside job and that spiritual transformation rarely occurs overnight.
