Bert has been married to Amelie since 1975. They have raised four children, all graduates of Jesuit Universities. Bert is a product of Jesuit training (S.I., USF) and has spent his adult life in sales and marketing, and he has served on a number of non-profit boards. His volunteer efforts at his children’s schools (primarily St. Ignatius College Preparatory) were mainly in the area of fundraising. He served on the Advisory Board of the Jesuit Retreat Center for the past year and has now moved into a staff position as Director of Development. Bert has come to many retreats over the years and is very fond of El Retiro.
