Chief Plant Engineer
Leo has been Chief Plant Engineer at the Retreat Center since 1990, putting his wide range of skills to use to insure the safety and comfort of our retreatants. He came to us from the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, where he had been maintenance supervisor for three years. For twenty years prior to that, he was captain of a 50 foot commercial fishing boat, the St. Joseph, out of Monterey. Leo served with the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army beginning in 1965.
Leo has been married to Becky for 14 years and has four adult children, three sons and one daughter. He also has four grandchildren, two boys and two girls. Leo and Becky live in one of his favorite places, Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
