Dr. Tom Powers earned his doctorate in sacred theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley after conducting his dissertation research in Peru. He was the founding director of The Center for Ignatian Spirituality at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and the director of the Graduate program in pastoral Ministries at Santa Clara University. He has published many articles and books on Ignatian spirituality, ecclesiology, and Latin American theology.
